Major Home Store Chain Returning to Canada
Bed Bath & Beyond is planning a Canadian comeback in 2026.
The big-box retail chain known for bedding, housewares and specialty items will be reborn thanks to Sleep Country Canada, which has purchased the store’s branding rights.
While details are sparse, it is expected that this country’s largest mattress retailer will relaunch Bed Bath & Beyond with brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce operations.
The revival has been months in the making. Sleep Country Canada acquired the brand’s intellectual property, including its name and logo as well as domain names for several websites, in the summer.
Bed Bath & Beyond exited the Canadian market in 2023, after filing for creditor protection. The retailer closed all 54 stores and 11 BuyBuy Baby locations.
